Basic Anatomy and Physiology

Course Description
This course provides a basic study of the structure and function of the human body. Topics include a basic study of the body systems as well as an introduction to homeostasis, cells, tissues, nutrition, acid-base balance, and electrolytes. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of the fundamental principles of anatomy and physiology. This course must follow specific guidelines established by the NC Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS), including those related to online delivery, curriculum content, instructor credentials, and student admissions requirements/prerequisites.
Total Class Hours: 96 hours this includes 80 hours online and 16 hours seated.
Dates: May 20, 2024 - July 21, 2024
Times: online plus two Saturday Labs June 1st and July 13 8am-5pm
